The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Kyle & Claire’s First Date – Summer Fumes Over Start of Romance?
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) still needs some help from Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck), but she’ll thankfully get it once they discover a set of keys and figure out where she is.
Claire might need to get checked out at the hospital in the aftermath, but she’ll no doubt get a warm welcome back to the Newman ranch eventually.
From there, Claire can enjoy the peace of living in the tack house again as she continues getting to know her new family.
Although Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) was wrong about Claire being Jordan’s (Colleen Zenk) accomplice, that doesn’t mean she’s suddenly going to change her tune and embrace Claire as her cousin.
Summer seems too wary of Claire and her past drama to let her guard down anytime soon.
There are probably going to be lingering issues between Claire and Summer, especially if Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) ends up asking Claire out on a date down the road.
Before all the kidnapping mayhem erupted, Kyle shared some nice moments of connection with Claire.
Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell) also adores Claire and is presumably a pretty good judge of character in Kyle’s opinion.
Y&R is clearly trying to push Claire and Kyle toward a new pairing together, but Summer certainly isn’t going to approve.
It’s easy to imagine Summer finding Kyle on his first date with Claire and completely derailing it.
Summer and Claire’s rivalry could get worse instead of better if the latter becomes the new woman in Kyle’s life – especially since she’ll be spending a lot more time with Harrison if that happens.
In other words, the fact that Claire turned out to be innocent in Harrison’s abduction may not matter much to Summer.
Claire was still indirectly responsible for bringing Jordan into Harrison’s life just by bonding with him and putting him on Jordan’s radar.
There may be some resentment that sticks around and fuels Summer’s conflict with Claire, particularly once Claire is potentially dating Summer’s ex-husband!
