General Hospital spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) has been increasingly volatile and could very well land in prison.
Sonny began the year by beating Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) to within an inch of his life and then he sent Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) to finish the job for him.
Sonny changed his mind at the last minute. And most recently, Sonny decided to stalk Dex after Dex decided to join the police force, believing him to be traitor. He also beat Dex as well, which was witnessed by Sonny’s daughter, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi).
General Hospital Spoilers – The walls are closing in on Sonny Corinthos
While Sonny has managed to avoid being arrested for any of his above acts, Police Commissioner Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) is slowly trying to build a case against him.
It’s just a matter of time before all the pieces come together and she’s ready to make an arrest. Of course, no one yet knows that Sonny’s medication for bi-polar disorder has been tampered with and is at least partially responsible for Sonny’s actions.
Still, Sonny is liable to be facing prison time sooner rather than later.
GH Spoilers – Ava Jerome is the only one Sonny Corinthos trusts!
The one person who Sonny feels he can trust is Ava Jerome (Maura West). Ava moved in with Sonny at his penthouse for her own protection right after Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) was murdered.
Even though the threat to Ava seems to have subsided, Sonny has told Ava she could remain at the penthouse. Ava’s goals are a bit murky right now as she knows Sonny’s medication is wrong and hasn’t told anyone.
She’s also been subtly manipulating Sonny so that she is the only person he feels he can trust.
General Hospital Spoilers – Ava Jerome takes over!
Is Sonny does go to prison, he may insist that Ava take over the business in his absence. She’s been in the mob before so she knows how things work in organizations like Sonny’s and she’s the best person in Sonny’s mind to keep the territory together and out of the grasp of other mob families.
This may be Ava’s end goal anyway. A change in the power structure in the criminal underworld could pose a threat to everyone connected to Sonny so Sonny may see Ava as the only one who can hold things together and keep everyone safe.
The question is, if Ava does take over would she still protect Sonny’s family?
